Heretic is a command-line tool that automatically detects and removes the built-in safety refusals ("censorship") baked into open-weight language models, so a model follows a user's instructions unconditionally. It works on models such as Qwen and is released as free software under the GNU AGPLv3 license, installed via pip.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets practitioners automatically strip built-in refusal behavior from open-weight models via a one-line pip install, useful for local/uncensored model workflows.
