About
Tachyon MCP is an Apache-2.0-licensed Java and Kotlin runtime for building Model Context Protocol servers on Netty, running synchronous handlers on JVM virtual threads and suspending handlers in Kotlin. It supports tools, resources, prompts, and other MCP features, is conformance-tested against the 2025-11-25 and 2026-07-28 specifications, and enables a localhost-only host/origin guard by default.
Why it made the leaderboard
Gives Java and Kotlin teams a conformance-tested MCP server runtime with virtual-thread handlers, so they can expose existing JVM business logic to MCP clients without hand-building protocol and transport handling.
