Plandex is an open-source, terminal-based AI coding agent that plans and executes large, multi-step coding tasks across dozens of files, handling up to 2M tokens of context via tree-sitter project maps. It combines models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and open-source providers, sandboxes AI-generated diffs for review, and supports full autonomy or fine-grained step-by-step control with automated debugging.
