Auricle is a browser library for voice agents that handles voice activity detection, turn taking, barge-in and ducking in a Rust program compiled to WebAssembly. It is a drop-in replacement for vad-web and includes an adapter for OpenAI-compatible speech-to-text, chat and text-to-speech APIs. The README reports a 350 KB gzipped download and faster start-up than vad-web in Chromium and WebKit.
