Context
Dropbox's Nova platform makes a coding 's proposed fix part of a repeatable test-and-repair workflow. Each session starts from a particular code revision in an isolated environment. The surrounding system runs validation commands and can return failures to the agent for another attempt. Dropbox also keeps publication outside the agent, according to its platform account.
Its flaky-test workflow illustrates the division of labor. The agent receives examples of a test passing and failing, proposes a repair, and CI runs the test at least 100 times to check it. Further failures supply evidence for another bounded attempt. This connects generated code to the same engineering checks used to assess ordinary changes.
