About
hexec is a suite of four HTTP command-line tools (hget, hexec, hwait, hmirror) implemented as single small scripts, each under 5 KB, that work in bash, zsh, ash, and PowerShell using only what the shell environment already ships, so no curl or wget install is required. Its portable scripts run as both a bash script and a PowerShell script from the same file, letting install pages replace separate curl-pipe-to-bash and PowerShell download commands with one cross-platform file.
Why it made the leaderboard
hexec replaces the standard 'curl pipe to shell' installer pattern with tiny, readable, cross-platform scripts, so anyone shipping an install script can offer something users can verify before executing.
