Context
Nano Banana 2 Lite and Gemini Omni Flash can form a two-stage creative workflow: generate a still image, then use that image as the reference for a video. Google AI's June 30, 2026 release brought both models to developer interfaces, with Omni Flash in public preview. The accompanying interior-design example describes generating alternative room designs from a photo, selecting one, and animating it. This lets an application carry a chosen visual concept from image exploration into motion. Workflow explanation.
