MidiSlayer is a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux that connects to a MIDI keyboard and teaches sight-reading by having the player perform real music while it tracks each note live. It includes graded flashcard drills for notes, chords, intervals, and scales with an adaptive algorithm that resurfaces missed notes more often, a built-in beginner curriculum, and a library of real pieces playable in a note-waiting mode or a tempo mode with a metronome.
