Wave Open Firmware is an unofficial open firmware for the Insta360 Wave speakerphone. A single Rust program called waved replaces the stock software, removing telemetry to ByteDance's DataFinder service, keeping recordings on the device or sending them only to a webhook the user sets, and allowing updates signed with the user's own key. A script restores stock firmware. The project also documents reverse-engineering research, including running a voice-activity model on the device's NPU.
