Day 3 (encore)/ We silently re-shipped codex cloud. It’s pretty good now https://t.co/Fau14sCke8

Context

OpenAI's Codex Cloud can reach internal services through Tailscale, whose private network of connected devices is called a tailnet. This lets a cloud coding task use internal APIs and testing services alongside its repository. The capability is documented in the integration announcement.

The connection uses a reusable authentication key so new task machines can join the network, with an ephemeral setting that removes devices after they go offline. Access also depends on allowing the destination in both the VPN rules and the cloud environment's internet settings. Those controls determine which private HTTP or HTTPS services a task can actually use. Configuration details.
