Record, train, and deploy from one place with Strands Agents, LeRobot, and Hugging Face Storage Buckets

Context

Strands Robots connects robot recordings, training and deployment through a shared LeRobot data format. Amazon's walkthrough shows recordings being synchronized to Hugging Face Storage Buckets and read back in training batches without first downloading the entire dataset. Keeping the format consistent removes a conversion step between collection and training.

The starts an episode; a robot-control policy produces its individual actions. The default mock policy tests the workflow but produces placeholder actions, so useful training still requires suitable demonstrations. This extends the earlier hardware integration with a route for repeatedly collecting and reusing data.

Terms in this piece · Glossary
  • AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
  • agentic loop — The cycle an agent runs in: decide, call a tool, read the result, decide again — repeating until the goal is met or a stop condition fires.
  • streaming — Sending a model's response token by token as it is generated, so the reader sees text immediately instead of waiting for the whole answer.
