Pixel Agents is an open-source, MIT-licensed desktop app that turns each Claude Code project into a pixel-art office on a shared campus map, letting users watch agents work, approve tool permissions, and assign tasks in real time. Built on the Claude Agent SDK, it streams chat with tool diffs, tracks exact per-turn, per-day, and per-project spend, and includes a campus-wide orchestrator assistant that can dispatch agents to any project.
Why it made the leaderboard
It gives people running several Claude Code agents at once a single visual dashboard to watch, assign tasks to, and track exact spend across projects, rather than juggling multiple terminal sessions.
