About
OpenBot is an open-source framework for running collaborating AI bots that plan and execute engineering tasks together, modeled on Grok Bot's multi-agent workflow. It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, and local Ollama models, lets each bot use a different model (for example, a cheaper model for routine issues and a stronger one for hard problems), and is already used to author most of its own pull requests, with MCP server support in progress.
Why it made the leaderboard
OpenBot lets teams run multi-provider collaborating coding bots (assigning cheaper models to routine work and stronger ones to hard issues) without being locked into a closed, metered platform.
