Inkvec is an Apache-2.0 licensed Rust tool that converts raster images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF) into SVG by tracing boundaries directly from pixel evidence rather than fitting curves to a tolerance. It detects circles and writes them as true <circle> elements instead of approximated cubic curves, renders smooth color ramps as real gradients instead of banded fills, and chooses the number of output coordinates using a minimum description length criterion rather than a manual tolerance slider.
