Jenesis is a Java build tool that reads a project's module-info.java as the build definition, or an existing pom.xml on the class path. It pins dependency versions and SHA-256 checksums in a pom comment and fails a build that downloads different bytes. Its published timings from eight projects show about 18% faster full builds, 88% faster no-change builds and 34% faster after editing one method.
