Merlin lets teams trigger Claude Code and Codex tasks by mentioning it in Slack, Linear, or GitHub. The task runs on that team member's own machine with their own subscription, and progress returns to the original thread. It offers a desktop app for macOS and Windows and a CLI daemon for Linux, plus schedules, shared skills, and memory. The author notes an offline or sleeping machine cannot take work.
