About
papyDeck is an open-hardware handheld game console that runs games as plain Lua script folders you can open, edit, and rerun instead of locked cartridges. Three genlocked RP2350B chips give it six Cortex-M33 cores driving 640x480 HDMI graphics at about 3,000 sprite pixels per scanline, roughly twice a Neo Geo, and a browser simulator runs the same core so games can be written and tested without hardware. The V1 alpha board has run since August 2026 with Wi-Fi game downloads and over-the-air firmware updates, though the hardware and firmware repos remain private and there is no release date.
