About
Kalem is an editor written in Rust that opens Markdown, Org, LaTeX and CSV files as documents or grids while keeping the file as plain text and saving only the edits. PDFs, images and Excel workbooks open in plugin viewers, and plugins are compiled Rust running as WebAssembly components with declared permissions. It runs in a window and in a terminal, with Vim keys on by default.
