Capbase is a crowdsourced database of private company funding rounds, investors, funds and people, built from SEC filings and public records with a source on each fact. It is positioned as a free, open-source alternative to Crunchbase and PitchBook. Browsing is free but profiles show only the first rows of each section, and an accepted contribution unlocks full profiles for 30 days.
