About
colm is a Linux terminal workspace manager built on the Ghostty terminal engine, designed for running many coding agent sessions at once. It adds a workspace sidebar, a niri-style horizontal column strip for tiling terminals, a live grid overview of running panes, and a JSON-RPC control socket for scripting windows and workspaces. It surfaces permission prompts and plan questions from agents like Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and aider directly in a feed sidebar, and supports attaching remote workspaces over SSH with tmux-backed persistence.
Why it made the leaderboard
Gives Linux users a terminal that natively tracks and controls multiple parallel coding-agent sessions (Claude Code, Codex, aider) with scriptable automation, something the Linux ecosystem otherwise lacks.
