hcode is a local desktop IDE that structures solo software development into a seven-stage lifecycle, assigning distinct AI models to separate roles: Claude as spec owner and code reviewer, Codex as adversarial reviewer and test author, and Antigravity as implementer and execution harness, so no single model both makes and checks the same claim. A deterministic script gate measures the repository state and issues a merge verdict, keeping one human accountable for what ships.

Solo builders using multiple coding agents lack a structured way to keep 'author' and 'checker' roles separate; hcode enforces that separation and gates merges on deterministic checks rather than agent self-assessment.
