Jeff is a read-only Go command-line tool that semantically checks source files against a defined rule set, either locally or in CI, using the Jev review engine. It ships with built-in rules covering issues like unclear responsibility, misleading naming, excessive responsibility and low cohesion, and authenticates to the backend via a stored API credential.
Why it made the leaderboard
Adds a lightweight semantic-review layer that can run in CI to catch structural code smells that standard linters miss, without needing an IDE plugin or SaaS platform.
