About
sandkiln runs untrusted or AI-generated code in hardware-isolated Firecracker microVMs, each with its own kernel, filesystem and network namespace. A self-hosted Rust daemon exposes an HTTP API, with JS/TS and Python SDKs and a kiln CLI to run commands and manage files. Isolation at the VM boundary avoids the shared kernel of containers, and the site reports cold boots of about 10.5 to 10.9 ms on one dev box.
