About
classifier.dev is a zero-shot text classification API reachable over plain HTTP: send text and a list of labels, get back the best-fitting label and a confidence score. It requires no API key or account for free use and offers two model lanes, Jev and a newer Laya model in trial, with fast single-decision and bulk batch processing modes plus agent-oriented discovery files (OpenAPI spec, skill manifest).
Why it made the leaderboard
Gives agents a drop-in HTTP endpoint for label classification (billing vs. technical, spam detection, etc.) without needing an API key or hosting their own model, with honest caveats about confidence calibration.
