RunBoth is a command-line tool that runs both the old and new versions of AI-modified code side by side to detect actual behavior changes, including in functions that were not directly edited but call into changed code. It can block a git commit when behavior has shifted without a matching commit message, giving developers a safety check against silent regressions introduced by AI coding assistants.
Why it made the leaderboard
It catches ripple-effect regressions from AI code edits that a plain diff or commit message review would miss, directly protecting against a common failure mode of agent-driven refactors.
