Context

Dropbox reports that faster AI-assisted coding increased pressure on code review, automated testing and release processes. Its internal platform, Nova, accounted for roughly one in twelve pull requests in its May 2026 account. That measures contribution to code output; it does not establish an equivalent improvement in delivery speed.

The company's response is to track whether that output survives the rest of the development process. Review turnaround, test results, defects and rework help reveal where work accumulates. Humans retain final review and release decisions, while the broader productivity question becomes how quickly an idea reaches customers with acceptable quality.
