About
Ward is an open-source face-unlock tool for Linux login, sudo and polkit prompts, using a laptop's infrared and RGB cameras together with liveness checks (IR cross-spectrum, an anti-spoof CNN and motion) to resist photo and screen replay attacks. It is built as a from-scratch engine on the same dlib, OpenCV and V4L2 pieces as the older Howdy project, aiming to fix setup problems like wrong camera selection and unlit IR emitters, and it always falls back to the user's password on any failure.
