About
MacUp is a macOS menu bar app that finds outdated packages across Homebrew, npm, pip, Cargo, and over a dozen other package managers, then updates them in one click through each manager's own commands. It waits a set period after a release before surfacing it (a day normally, four hours for security fixes) and shows release dates, install dates, and known vulnerabilities for each package.
Why it made the leaderboard
It consolidates update checks and vulnerability advisories across 15+ package managers into a single menu bar view, saving developers from juggling separate update commands per tool.
