Libreta is an open-source format for building financial models as plain-text files: inputs live in CSV and formulas in YAML using variable names (like gross_profit = revenue - cost_of_revenue) instead of spreadsheet cell references. Models render as clickable live tables where each number traces back to its formula and source, making them cheap for AI agents to write and easy for humans to review as small text diffs.
Why it made the leaderboard
It lets agents build and edit financial models as small, diffable text edits in CSV/YAML with named variables instead of cell references, so every number stays traceable and reviewable.
