Darkbloom is a private inference marketplace that routes encrypted LLM requests to hardware-attested Apple Silicon machines contributed by their owners, advertising roughly 50% lower cost than typical API providers at comparable model performance. Developers keep their existing OpenAI client and only change the base URL; Mac owners run a provider on idle hardware and, during the public alpha, keep all inference revenue. Its stated privacy model is operator-blind: end-to-end encryption with a hardware-bound decryption key attested to Apple's root CA, a hardened runtime that blocks debugger attachment and memory inspection, and responses signed by the machine that produced them.
