About
Alidade is an open-source Web-GIS platform that represents the entire map as a single JSON document, diffing successive versions and applying the resulting operations to MapLibre. Because edits to the document drive the map directly, undo can span many revisions and swapping the basemap does not erase existing layers; the platform also supports PostGIS vector tiles, satellite imagery, 3D models on terrain, and a live asset layer without requiring API keys.
Why it made the leaderboard
Gives developers building mapping applications a self-hostable stack with PostGIS vector tiles and 3D terrain without dependency on paid mapping APIs.
