The MCP Census checks public evidence about an MCP server and returns a PASS, REVIEW, BLOCK, or UNKNOWN verdict before a user installs it. It covers more than 48,000 servers, and can audit a whole MCP config in one call through a REST API or an MCP endpoint. It is described as a first gate, not a malware scanner, so it helps builders and agents spot lookalike or unmaintained servers but does not replace a security review.
