About
audio-chat-box is a local speech program that your own program starts and talks to over standard input and output using one JSON message per line. It reads text aloud with Kokoro, transcribes speech with Parakeet, and can detect speech from a streamed microphone with Silero VAD, all through sherpa-onnx with nothing sent over the network. Your program handles recording and playback, and can pass hotwords to bias recognition. A Docker demo is available.
