Nous Research's Bot Mode gives a reusable identity to an configuration in Hermes Desktop. Each named bot carries its own role, model, memory and skills, so a specialist can be configured and returned to later. The announcement also says bots can communicate with one another.
The profile-based design makes the specialist, rather than an individual chat, the unit users organize around. A bot's name points to a particular setup and accumulated , which can be reused across tasks instead of being recreated each time.
