myCC is a non-optimizing C compiler for modern C (C23), written in Java with Claude's assistance and paired with a jshell-style interactive C shell. It bundles its own x86 assembler, already compiles and runs Lua's full test suite and partially compiles curl, with a linker planned for full end-to-end compilation.

Why it made the leaderboard

Shows an AI-assisted compiler and assembler can already compile real-world C code like Lua end-to-end, a concrete data point on how far AI-assisted systems programming has come.
