About
bitsql is a memory-only SQL Server emulator that speaks the TDS protocol, intended to replace SQL Server containers in local development and application CI. It is written in MoonBit and works with existing clients such as tedious, Knex, Sequelize, TypeORM, and Prisma. The project's own benchmarks report a 13.7 MiB image, a 144 ms cold start, and 5.1 MiB idle memory, versus 604.5 MiB, 2.69 seconds, and 1.17 GiB for SQL Server 2025.
