ADAP is a draft open protocol that defines how authority is delegated from a human to AI agents, narrowed as it passes between agents, checked against deterministic policy, and recorded in a signed receipt. It sits alongside identity and OAuth rather than replacing them, so that an agent exceeding its delegated limits, for example through prompt injection, is blocked before execution.
