About
Daytona is a secure, elastic infrastructure platform for running AI-generated code in isolated sandboxes. It spins up environments in under 90ms with support for process execution, file system operations, Git integration, and LSP — all via a clean SDK. Ideal for AI agents and developers who need to safely execute untrusted or dynamically generated code at scale.
What it can do
Spin up isolated sandbox environments
Environment configuration or SDK call → A running isolated sandbox ready in under 90ms
Execute AI-generated or untrusted code safely
Arbitrary or dynamically generated code → Execution results returned from an isolated process
Perform file system operations inside a sandbox
File read, write, or management commands via SDK → Files created, modified, or retrieved within the sandbox environment
Run and manage processes inside sandboxes
Process execution commands or scripts → Process output, exit codes, and runtime results
Clone and interact with Git repositories
Git repository URL or Git commands → Cloned repository or Git operation results within the sandbox
Provide Language Server Protocol (LSP) support in sandboxes
Source code files and LSP requests → Code intelligence results such as diagnostics, completions, and symbol info
Scale sandbox infrastructure elastically
Multiple concurrent sandbox requests from AI agents or developers → Dynamically provisioned sandboxes running in parallel at scale
Why it made the leaderboard
If you're building AI agents that execute code, the difference between a 90ms sandbox spinup and a multi-second one is the difference between a responsive agent and a broken UX — Daytona is built specifically for this latency-sensitive, security-critical use case. Its programmatic APIs for file system, Git, and process execution mean you're not duct-taping together cloud primitives; you're working with infrastructure designed around agentic workflows from the start.
