About
AutoShade is an open-source RAW photo developer where an AI model proposes edit recipes (exposure, color grading, masks, etc.) that are then rendered by a deterministic Rust engine, keeping AI suggestions editable and reproducible rather than baked into pixels. It ships as a desktop app, CLI, and local web UI sharing one rendering library, supports Lightroom/ACR sidecar round-tripping, and includes a reverse-fit mode that derives an editable recipe from an AI-generated target image.
What it can do
Generate AI-proposed non-destructive edit recipes (exposure, color grading, masks) from RAW photos
RAW photo file → Editable edit recipe
Render edit recipes into final images using a deterministic engine
Edit recipe → Rendered photo
Round-trip edits with Lightroom/ACR sidecar files
Lightroom/ACR sidecar file → Edit recipe / sidecar file
Derive an editable recipe from an AI-generated target image
AI-generated target image → Editable edit recipe
Why it made the leaderboard
Separates the AI's creative judgment from actual pixel rendering, so edits stay deterministic and auditable instead of being an opaque AI filter.
