ViewFit is a command-line tool that opens a site in headless Chromium, measures the rendered size of each image and CSS background image, and applies the device pixel ratio. It then resizes and compresses each file with Sharp to its own target size instead of one generic setting. The README shows a demo page dropping from 12.0 MB to 893 KB.
