aslmp is an open-source, Apache-2.0-licensed async Python client for the SLMP protocol used to communicate with Mitsubishi MELSEC industrial PLCs. Its documentation carries an explicit safety notice that the library has no functional-safety certification and can halt a running CPU when remote control is enabled, so interlocks and emergency-stop logic must live in the PLC and hardware, not in this client, after the authors found quiet failure modes such as two in-flight TCP requests returning mismatched responses.
