Academic Ancestry

About

A web tool that traces academic lineage: enter a researcher's name to see who taught them, whom they taught and who examined the theses in between. It draws on about 2.5 million theses from 237 sources in 29 countries plus doctoral advisor statements from Wikidata, and offers multiple graph views. It also provides MCP connector addresses so AI assistants can query the data.
