Sanka is an open-source runtime that migrates Django REST Framework (DRF) codebases to FastAPI by scanning the source, producing an immutable migration plan for review, applying only the exact reviewed plan hash, and verifying the generated result against the original code. It reports an aggregate 11-point improvement over using a frontier model alone, benchmarked across eight models on 17 matched migrations.

Python 3.12 or newer. The project documents an open-source CLI with local migration commands and offers a hosted service separately.
Limits to know
A matching plan hash establishes which plan ran. It does not prove behavioral parity. The author’s reported benchmark uses synthetic repositories.
