Millions of Gaussian splats, rendered directly in the browser. For ICARE, the creative team designed and iterated 7 worlds with Marble, then streamed them in real time using Spark 2.0 and Three.js Here's how the pipeline works ↓🧵

Inside the case study: • Marble for rapid world design and iteration • Spark 2.0 for browser-native Gaussian splat streaming • Three.js gameplay and interaction systems • A Blender integration connected directly to the live runtime Read more: https://t.co/4N4xnITanx

Context

ICARE shows how generated scenery can become part of a playable browser experience. World Labs' case study describes using Marble to create environments, then combining them with separately built characters, props and gameplay systems in a custom Three.js application.

The Spark 2.0 renderer streams the environments at changing levels of detail as players explore, managing the amount of scene data held in browser memory. This divides the work into environment generation, interactive behavior and delivery. The case study describes a workflow in which generated worlds supply scenery while conventional application code supplies the experience around it.
