Rufous

Rufous is an alpha agent harness written in Rust for running 2B to 12B parameter models locally, in an editor or a web UI. It records every tool call in a log the model cannot edit and compares the model's final report against it, holding a reply once when a named file was never written. Tool calls pass a five-ring safety gate and ask permission before acting. This targets the tendency of small models to report success without doing the work.
