About
Knitting is a worker-pool library for Node.js, Deno and Bun that lets you call exported, typed functions on worker threads or separate processes as ordinary async calls. It uses shared memory instead of postMessage or sockets, which the authors say makes some workloads 5x to 25x faster, and it keeps CPU-heavy work off the main thread.
