About
EACL is a Clojure authorization library implementing relationship-based access control (ReBAC), modeled on Google Zanzibar and SpiceDB, that stores permission data directly alongside application data in Datomic, Datahike, Datalevin, or DataScript. Because permissions live in the same database as the data they protect, it avoids network calls to an external authorization system, keeps permission checks strongly consistent, and lets applications maintain real-time permission views by tailing the transaction log instead of polling.
Why it made the leaderboard
A Zanzibar/SpiceDB-style relationship-based authorization library that runs inside Datomic, Datahike, Datalevin, or DataScript instead of as an external service, avoiding the sync and latency problems of keeping permissions in a separate system.
