NESH: The New EFI Shell

NESH is a command shell for UEFI firmware, shipped as a single file (nesh.efi, about 363 KB) that needs no installation and only one signature for Secure Boot. It rewrites the UEFI Shell command set from scratch with more than 80 commands and adds NESH BASIC, a scripting language with over 50 built-in functions, to replace .nsh scripts. Low-level hardware writes are disabled while Secure Boot is active.
