pmstream runs projectM Milkdrop-style music visualizations headless on Linux and streams the rendered frames to standard output as ASCII or sixels. It captures audio from an input device and works standalone or as the visualization plugin for the kew terminal music player (version 4.4.2 or later). Other programs can consume the frame stream, which lets them show full-color visualizations in a terminal.
