Context
Factory's Automations turn a recurring instruction into a scheduled or event-triggered job for Droid, its coding . A team writes the instructions or picks a template, chooses the model and where the job runs, then connects a trigger: a schedule, Slack, GitHub or a webhook. For example, a GitHub event can start a job without someone reopening a chat and restating the task.
Runs can use a person's identity or a service account, and each opens an inspectable session. Run history and failure notifications let the owner follow what happened. This makes recurring agent work an ongoing workflow with a defined trigger and a record of execution. Factory announced general availability on September 30. Setup and governance details.
